The Italian native varietal is closely related to Cabernet Sauvignon as it produces full bodied wines with dark fruit flavor, but has sweeter tannins.
Stemmari Nero D'avola is made from 100% Nero D'avola grapes that have reached perfect aromatic and polyphenolic maturation. Fermented with the skins for 6-8 days to give it its velvety hue this wine is then maturated for 6 months in French barrels.
